Collingwood Freehold Townhomes
In 1858, a time of great changes throughout what would become The Dominion of Canada 9 years later, a small town in West Canada was incorporated. This town was Collingwood, and this town would ultimately expand to become a large municipality covering a large swath of area north of the city of Toronto. When the time came that Collingwood came into existence as both a town and municipality, that was when Canada was the country we know and love today.
The municipality of Collingwood is bisected down the middle by a road called Hurontario St. When it comes to the real estate for sale, some of the best investments can be made on either side of town for prime location positioning.
You will have access to various types of spacious family homes with plenty of curb appeal, as well as some sizeable detached homes and townhomes, all of which are within reach of the shops and other stores of Collingwood.
Present in the town itself are a fair few schools (14 in total; 5 elementary and 3 high/secondary schools; the rest are alternative types of schools) in the event that you have children of any age that require schooling. Getting around Collingwood won’t be much of an issue either, what with having access to Colltrans, a unique name given to the public transit system of Collingwood.
If you happen to be looking to take a little side trip into the city of Toronto for a day or two, then your best bet for getting there would be to follow Hurontario St. south to the Highway 91, and take Highway 91 east (past where 91 becomes 26), and take the Highway 26 to Barrie, where you can then hop on the Highway 400 southward, which will bring you right into the York region of Toronto.
Collingwood is home to a number of parks (28 to be exact) that will offer you a truly pleasurable experience when you want to sit in amongst a more confined and embracing setting of nature. Also, due to the large number of parks, if you really enjoy nature walks, it’ll be a different park practically every time.
Collingwood is also home to a number of great festivals and fairs (the Elvis Festival in July, just to name one of the many) that you will are more than welcome to join in on (this is also a great way to join the social circles throughout Collingwood).
